After Office Melao

Not all invitations are equal and not all celebrate the same, I say this based on the event "After Office" presented by Melao. This After Ofiice was not a common event to share and talk much rather had a kind of dual purpose. At first you felt you were congratulating the winner of the Twistos challenge, remember? With many drinks, conversations that were pending for another encounter, tasty cupcakes, many funny pictures on Photobooth and Thai location honoring Melao and Mafe Vera (Melao's designer). But during the evening, you realized you were there for something else, a celebration that even for Mafe itself was far more exciting: the launch of its blog muy al Estilo Melao, where it was important to meet the new family member . During the event I could not greet Melao girls (went from here to there, so I chose to give them their space and time) but from here want to extend my thanks for making me able to share with them and my congratulations on all their success.

No todas las invitaciones son iguales y no todas celebran lo mismo, esto lo digo en función del evento "After Office" que presentó Melao. Este After Ofiice no fue un evento común para compartir y hablar mucho, más bien tuvo una especie de doble fin. Al principio sentías que estabas agasajando a la ganadora del reto twistos ¿Se acuerdan? Con muchas bebidas, conversaciones que quedaron pendientes para otro encuentro, ricos cupcakes, muchas fotos divertidas en el Photobooth y una locación Thai en honor a Melao y Mafe Vera (diseñadora de Melao). Pero al transcurrir la velada, te dabas cuenta que estabas ahí por algo más, una celebración que hasta para la propia Mafe era muchísimo más emocionante: el lanzamiento de su blog muy al Estilo Melao, donde lo importante era conocer al nuevo miembro de la familia. Durante el evento no pude saludar a las chicas de Melao (andaban de aquí para allá, así que preferí darles su espacio y tiempo) pero desde acá les quiero hacer llegar mis gracias por hacerme posible compartir con ellas y mis felicitaciones por todos sus éxitos.

As I say, this was not just another invitation, but rather one that will have a constant force, where there's no punctuality or dress code and where conversations ranging from fashion to Venezuelan folklore. So now we can all be part of this Venezuelan brand and enjoy this very interesting space it offers. The idea seemed great, because it is not just a tool to help grow the brand, but also establishes a close relationship between product and consumer. There are already several famous brands having their own blog and share fresh information that inspires, such as H&M (H&M Life), Forever 21 or Topshop's Tumblr. A Venezuelan firm has an initiative like this makes us realize that the world of fashion in the country has a great future. You know, everyone is invited to enjoy the blog Estilo Melao, sure will surprise you.

Como les digo, ésta no fue otra invitación más, sino más bien una que tendrá una vigencia constante, donde no hay hora de llegada ni código de vestimenta y donde las conversaciones van desde moda hasta folklore venezolano. Así que desde ahora todos podremos ser parte de esta marca venezolana y disfrutar de ese espacio tan interesante que nos ofrece. La idea me pareció fantástica, porque no solo es un medio que ayuda a que la marca crezca, sino que ademas establece una relación más próxima entre el producto y los consumidores. Ya hay varias marcas de renombre que tienen su propio blog y comparten información fresca que sirve de inspiración, como por ejemplo H&M (H&M Life), Forever 21 o el Tumblr de Topshop. Que una firma venezolana tenga una iniciativa como ésta, nos hace dar cuenta que el mundo de la moda en el país tiene un gran futuro. Ya saben, todos están invitados a disfrutar del blog Estilo Melao, seguro los sorprenderá. 

About the look of the night: That day wore a cocktail dress that I love, because it is blue and has minimal polka dots, reminds me of one that had Barbie haha. And to bring joy and color, I used suede shoes that you are tired of seeing. As for accessories, I used small details that gave light to the look.

Sobre el look de la noche: Ese día llevé un vestidito tipo cóctel que me encanta, porque es azul y de lunares mínimos, me recuerda mucho a uno que tenía una Barbie jaja. Y para darle alegría y color, usé los zapatos de gamuza que están cansados de ver. En cuanto a los accesorios, usé pequeños detalles que le dieron luz al look.
