Ana Bolena's sleeves

Has not happened to you that you see a garment, however unusual it may seem but must have it for no reason? That's just what happened to me with this outfit blouse. Historically, I have been fascinated by vaporous garments, fluid, somewhat bohemian; when I saw this blouse with sleeves that look like those who came out of a fairy tale, I could not contain myself and had to be mine. In fact, this reminds me of the garments made for Anne Boleyn who lacked the little finger and used to hide it wearing long sleeves. This blouse is the representation of the summer. If you're talking to me about the beach, the first thing I take is this blouse and shorts essential this summer. At the same time, don't leave home these sandals (which drive me crazy!). They are so practical and comfortable, and the coolest part is that you can use them in a thousand ways, you can tie them as you like because they are strips that can adjust to the insole of the sandal; with a little imagination I tied them as gladiators very fashionable, but if get to annoy of the model I tie them differently and it's like having new sandals. Is not that a great idea?

¿No les ha pasado que ven una prenda por más fuera de lo común que parezca pero deben tenerla por que sí? justo eso fue lo que me paso con la blusa de este conjunto. Desde siempre me han fascinado las prendas vaporosas, fluidas, medio bohemias; cuando vi esta blusa con esas mangas que parecieran que salieron de un cuento de hadas, no me pude contener y tenía que ser mía. De hecho, me recuerdan a las prendas confeccionadas para Ana Bolena a quien le faltaba el dedo meñique y para ocultarlo usaba vestidos con mangas largas. Esta blusa es la representación del verano, me dicen playa y lo primero que tomo es esta blusa y unos shorts: los esenciales de este verano. Al mismo tiempo, no dejaría en casa estas sandalias ¡que me llevan loca! son tan prácticas como cómodas, y lo más genial de todo es que pueden usarlas de mil maneras, ya que puedes atarlas como más te guste, debido a que son cintas que pueden ajustar a la plantilla de la sandalia; yo con un poquito de imaginación las ate como las muy de moda gladiadoras, pero si llego a fastidiarme del modelo las ato de otra manera y es como si tuviera sandalias nuevas ¿no es una idea genial?

Beachy dress

I didn't even want to leave you without the look for New year's eve, though it is a bit out of time. The look I wore was very simple which match out with the beach atmosphere of the celebration, a simple and fresh dress that I can use to any other occasion adding a good pair of heels. This time I used the low sandals and few accessories to keep the relaxed outfit and give greater prominence to mainly print dress, one with which I identify more. When we have celebrations on the beach, it is best to arm light sets, but they make you feel like goddess, and choose clothes that without doubt can at least wear during the weekend around town, rest, be your best allies accessory always.

No me quería ni atrever a dejarlos sin el look para la celebración de fin de año, así ya esté como un poco fuera de lugar. El look que usé para la fiesta del 31 fue un conjunto muy sencillo acorde con el ambiente playero de la celebración, un vestido sencillo y fresco que perfectamente puedo usar para otra ocasión agregándole un buen par de tacones. Yo esta vez usé las sandalias bajas y pocos accesorios para mantener el outfit relajado y darle sobre todo mayor protagonismo al estampado del vestido, que es uno con el que más me identifico. Cuando tenemos celebraciones en la playa, lo mejor es armar conjuntos ligeros, pero que te hagan sentir como diosa, y escoger prendas que sin dudar puedas al menos llevar durante el fin de semana a pasear por la ciudad, de resto, tus mejores aliados serán siempre los accesorios.

Headbands, sand and beach II

En esta segunda parte dedicada a las headbands, les muestro un conjunto directo a la playa. Un vestidito con lindos detalles y un color precioso solo debía estar completo por una pieza especial: Una bandana. En el mar, aunque la vida es más sabrosa, nuestro cabello sufre mucho. La sal, el sol y la arena le pueden hacer daño, aparte de lo mucho que nos molesta a nosotras estar cómodas con él después de habernos dado un chapuzón o sencillamente tenerlo bajo control mientras leemos una revista. Por eso debemos idearnos miles de maneras sencillas para sentirnos a gusto, por ejemplo, para no darme mala vida tratando de hacerme una cola, uso un sombrero para subir las puntas de mi cabello al interior de él, de manera de tener la espalda y los hombros descubiertos.

Aquí viene la parte de las bandanas. Ellas no solo complementan magníficamente nuestro conjunto, sino que además, en esos días de playa nos puede ser de mucha ayuda para mantener el cabello en su sitio, ya que su uso es muy sencillo. Lo recomendable es que sean bandanas fáciles de poner y quitar, de telas o materiales no tan delicados para que no ocurran accidentes y preferiblemente que sean materiales que puedan mojarse. Otro punto a su favor es que no ocupan el mayor de los espacios, ideales para esos viajes a la playa donde no necesitamos de tanto equipaje, y que podemos llevar fácilmente en nuestro bolso de playa. Una razón más para agregar una headband a nuestro look de playa es que son diferentes. No estarás usando una cola o un típico sombrero, ellas te diferencian del resto y te dan esa onda playera que no solo se nota, si no que se siente, sí ¡Pura actitud!

At this second part dedicated to headbands, I show you an outfit “straight to the beach”. A little dress with pretty details and a precious color only should be complete with a special piece: A headband. At the sea, though life is more ‘flavorful’, our hair suffers a lot. Salt, sun and sand could damage it besides how much we bother to be comfortable with our hair after going for a splashdown or just keep it under control while we read a magazine.  That’s why we should think of thousand simple ways to feel comfortable, for example, to not suffer making a tail, I used a hat to raise the ends of my hair into it, in order to have bare the back and shoulders.

Here comes the headbands part. It not only magnificently complements our outfit, but also, those beach days could be helpful to keep our hair in its place, because its use is so simple. I recommend easy-to-wear headbands, made with fabrics or tough materials that could get wet.  Another redeeming feature is that it doesn’t occupy too much space, ideal to those trips when we do not need too many baggages, and it can easily carry at our beach bag. Another reason to add up a headband to our beach look is that it is different. You will not only wear a tail or a typical hat, also stand out from the rest and give that beach wave not only noticeable but it feels, yeah, just attitude!

Headbands, sand and beach I

Hola guapos ¿Qué tal el fin de semana? Espero que hayan disfrutado de un sol precioso como el que les regalo con estas fotos. ¿Ven? Hay quienes regalan la luna, yo les regalo el sol, la estrella más grande de nuestro sistema ♥ Hoy vengo con un look un tanto particular, protagonizado por una pieza especial, la headband. Antes de pasar al tema de las bandanas, les quiero hablar un tanto de este conjunto; el look lo usé para ir hacia la playa, es decir, un conjunto para viaje de carretera con parada directa a la arena, por eso usé algo cómodo y playero pero a la vez medio conservador para cualquier parada improvista, para mí usar el Kimono fue perfecto y como siempre, un look playero nunca está completo sin un buen arm party y una manicure colorida.

No sé si vivir en un país tropical sea una bendición o una desdicha, mientras unos quisieran vivir en Europa, los europeos quisieran vivir en un eterno verano, como nosotros. Lo que sí sé, es que nos trae ciertas ventajas, a pesar de todo, nosotros tenemos más oportunidades en usar diferentes tipos de prendas (sin abusar) a lo largo de año. Una de esas piezas son las bandanas, para mí, son prendas que gritan calor, ellas llevan una alegría contagiosa entre sus hilos, como ésta que llevo de Serendipity. Planeo hacer una segunda parte de este post para que puedan ver otro look, el cual podrán verlo esta misma semana. Por ahora les puedo adelantar que cuando vamos a nuestras hermosas playas caribeñas, las bandanas son nuestras mejores amigas.

Hi beauties, how was your weekend? I hope you’ve enjoyed the sun, like the one I give you with these pictures. Do you see? Some people give you the moon, I gift you the sun, the biggest star of our system ♥. Today I come with a particular look, starring by a special piece, the headband. Before we talk about headbands, I want to describe this outfit; I use it to go to the beach, I mean, an outfit for road trip and go straight to the sand, that’s why I used something comfortable, proper to the beach but conservative at the same time for any unexpected stop. For me to use the Kimono was perfect and of course, a beach outfit is never complete without an arm party and a colorful manicure.

I don’t know if living in a tropical country is bless or a curse, while some people want to live in Europe, Europeans would like to live always in summer, like us. What I know is that we have certain advantages, regardless, we have more opportunities to wear different kind of clothes (not abusing) along the year. One of those pieces are headbands, for me, they are pieces that scream 'heat' and also bring contagious happiness between their threads, like the one I wear of Serendipity. I plan to make a second part of this post where you can see a different outfit which also you can see this week. By now I’m going to advance you that when we go to our beautiful Caribbean beaches, the headbands are our best friends.
