DSC_0027
Most fashion connoisseurs know how important are the thrift shops. There is no reason to fear or have prejudices about these shops, in them, you can get wonderful and unique pieces, second-hand is not synonymous with poor quality. In fact recently, Queen of Fashion Weeks, Chiara Ferragni, used a vintage Chanel earrings which got into one of the many thrift shops she frequents, and I must say that they are worthy of envy (especially for the price she must find them).

I occasionally walk around my grandmother's closet to see what treasures I find and visit markets in certain seasons are held in Caracas. I recently met Ugandi, a Venezuelan website which surprised me because you can get treasures in excellent condition and great prices, plus you yourself can be a seller on the page. It's great that we have the magic of second-hand garments to the comfort of a finger to "click" and that the choice in the country is growing increasingly. The site has a variety of brands, garments, styles, sizes and prices; I must say that there is a BCBG dress that already caught me *wink*. If you are interested in seeing what you can get, don't forget to stop by the site and if you want some shopping tips about vintage and second-hand parts don't hesitate to comment.

Reinha by the night

Yes, we were Reinhas for a day, and now it will be at night. The story goes like this, we dress a beautiful skirt during the day (Anna Dello Russo says that parts of night during the day are unexpected. Yes, even I have her campaign for H&M haunting my head) and *puff*, comes night and leave us a super improvised plan, that's when we put back into context our dream skirt, but what about the blouse we wore the whole day? Use it inside of the skirt, add a sweater as a layer that adds even more luster to the outfit, we add ideal complements to go 'boogie' and we are Reinhas until you drop!

From skirt to top

Although rain is becoming increasingly notorious in Caracas, is not reason enough to show a little skin, not to mention the annoyance of this weather is that we are between rain and heat, which complicates slightly the daily looks. I continue with the story of the versatility from a previous post, but this time a little reinventing my own closet. This happened to me by mistake, but hey, in this way have been discovered most of the wonders that make our lives so comfortable! So taking advantage of that stumble and a little daring, I could change the life of this skirt today is my shirt! You'd be surprised what you can regenerate of your closet with a little ingenuity, and above all, take us away the worry of "I have nothing to wear". Do you dare to wear skirts as tops? Shirts as a skirt? If you try it, tell me.

The tropical explosion of Manoa's swimwear (2014 Collection)

Before -pitifully- holidays are over, I would love to talk about what is almost synonymous of it: bathing suits. And what better way than with a review of the new collection of Manoa's swimwear. Characterized by colors, textures, patterns, designs and incredible brightness, the new collection is certainly incarnation of Venezuelan women's audacity in their infinite (and sometimes blessed) summer, just what the brand was inspired: the tropics. Of course, every woman is daring in its own way, mine doesn't favor the explosion of colors and vibrant prints, but what I take from this new collection is a combination of several styles that spin in their designs, as it is risky mix of bright colors and romance of lace (which of course could not miss this collection). This idea of mixing different textures fascinates me, it is quite risky but looks great, especially when you're a little tanned. Best of all is when this fusion is represented by swimsuit version, which although they have lost some fame for bikinis, are slowly coming back; so 20 points for Manoa! I omen you incredible success with this collection because the Venezuelan woman loves being bold and unique.

On the go!

Versatility, an adjective is not lacking in any garment of my closet, and should not be missing in yours. The dress and shoes today are no exception, and I explain what I did with them. First, these comfortable heels that to be cut out type are very popular, not only helped me to combine them with the dress and add a bit more edgy, but also used them (during the morning of the same day) with a completely different combination and looking a little more elegant. In turn, I wore this outfit to go to a small event on Friends, but then I changed my shoes by low ones, untied the little knots of the dress (which I love because you can adjust the belts in thousand ways), and Ready! A relaxed look for have dinner with the boy. How much more versatile can be ordered to these items? Precisely that's why the post is called "On the go!", because I got all of this by changing an occasional piece or knot either *wink*

Long live the mini skirt

It has become my habit to recover beach clothes and bring them into my daily looks; the mini skirt that accompanies me on all my trips is no exception. Like sea, the miniskirt should be respected, we always have to adjust this garment to the body and age, to avoid embarrassment. Despite these little details, one could say that the mini skirt enters the list of basic, but not so basic. The best option that you can take is denim, this time the heat is hitting harder than normal, so it can get us out from many troubles. I love to create outfits with this old skirt, this set with denim jacket, loafers and a lingerie blouse that has been very popular, has been my favorite set with skirt. An outfit that goes straight to the urban summer style list.

Kinda boho

Of the many styles, with which I identify the most is the bohemian (it may be for what basic and simple I really am), there are thousands of pieces with these airs in my closet and that those days I want to be more fresh and relaxed I invite them to take a walk. This time I wanted to give a different touch to one of these parts, and demonstrate that they can also be sophisticated. The trick is to wear pieces that add formality to bohemian garment, either using a good pair of heels, a midi skirt or a good formal trousers; anything that can increase the formal tone to your bohemian garment is invited. This time leather pants takes another context bohemian shirt and heels formality imprint finish to the garment.

This is the result of three Sundays ago since the sun came out to shine and keep street warm, one of those days where you don't want to dress up or think what to wear. To these days there's no choice but to grab a light dress and your most comfortable shoes (yes, I'm getting involved with this sort of wave of sporty-chic. Trying to be minimalist although this is difficult for me) and go to your nearest ice cream parlor. Definitely should not be afraid of combining feminine pieces with other less graceful or masculine, I have always said it is better to combine a (good) sneakers that combine poorly your best pair of heels.

Although a few weeks ago Melao released its new collection, meet new proposals and pretty clothes is never too late, isn't it? 'Yakera' is inspired by aboriginal ethnicity from Venezuela, which results in ethnic pieces, sensual and exotics representing sort of a modern amazon. This time it choose colors related with the elements water, air, fire, earth, which are yellow, navy blue and green. If I choose a favorite piece among all the collection, it would be the cross-neck shirt with emerald green and navy blazer, but the accessories are a ethnic dream and very Venezuelan. Melao not only impresses with its new collection that combines perfectly Venezuelan folklore with fashion, but also the campaign is the dream of every publisher. Here I leave you with photos of the fashion show and my favorite thing, a video of Melao Yakera 2014.
