From skirt to top

Although rain is becoming increasingly notorious in Caracas, is not reason enough to show a little skin, not to mention the annoyance of this weather is that we are between rain and heat, which complicates slightly the daily looks. I continue with the story of the versatility from a previous post, but this time a little reinventing my own closet. This happened to me by mistake, but hey, in this way have been discovered most of the wonders that make our lives so comfortable! So taking advantage of that stumble and a little daring, I could change the life of this skirt today is my shirt! You'd be surprised what you can regenerate of your closet with a little ingenuity, and above all, take us away the worry of "I have nothing to wear". Do you dare to wear skirts as tops? A pesar que la lluvia se va haciendo cada vez más notoria en Caracas, no es razón suficiente para mostrar un poco de piel, sin mencionar que lo fastidioso de este tiempo es que estamos entre la lluvia y el calor, por lo que nos complica un poco los looks diarios. Yo continúo con el cuento de la versatilidad del post antepasado, pero esta vez reinventando un poco mi propio closet. Esto me pasó por error, pero ¡hey, así se descubrieron la mayoría de las maravillas que nos hacen la vida tan cómoda! Así que aprovechando ese tropezón y atreviéndome un poco, pude cambiarle la vida a esta falda que hoy ¡es mi camisa! Les sorprendería todo lo que pueden regenerar de su closet con un poco de inventiva, y sobre todo, quitarnos ese trago amargo del "no tengo qué ponerme". ¿Ustedes se atreven a usar faldas como tops? o ¿camisas a modo de falda? The tropical explosion of Manoa's swimwear (2014 Collection)

Before -pitifully- holidays are over, I would love to talk about what is almost synonymous of it: bathing suits. And what better way than with a review of the new collection of Manoa's swimwear. Characterized by colors, textures, patterns, designs and incredible brightness, the new collection is certainly incarnation of Venezuelan women's audacity in their infinite (and sometimes blessed) summer, just what the brand was inspired: the tropics. Of course, every woman is daring in its own way, mine doesn't favor the explosion of colors and vibrant prints, but what I take from this new collection is a combination of several styles that spin in their designs, as it is risky mix of bright colors and romance of lace (which of course could not miss this collection). This idea of ​​mixing different textures fascinates me, it is quite risky but looks great, especially when you're a little tanned. Best of all is when this fusion is represented by swimsuit version, which although they have lost some fame for bikinis, are slowly coming back; so 20 points for Manoa! I omen you incredible success with this collection because the Venezuelan woman loves being bold and unique.

Antes que -lastimosamente- se acaben las vacaciones, no quería dejar de hablarles de lo que es casi el sinónimo de ellas: trajes de baños. Y qué mejor manera que con una reseña de la nueva colección de Manoa bañadores. Caracterizada por colores, texturas, estampados, brillo e increíbles diseños, la nueva colección de Manoa sin duda es la encarnación del atrevimiento de la mujer venezolana en su infinito (y a veces hasta bendito) verano, justo de lo que la marca se inspiró: el trópico. Por supuesto, cada mujer es atrevida a su manera, la mía no se decanta por la explosión de colores y estampados vibrantes, pero lo que sí le rescato a esta nueva colección es la combinación de diversos estilos que hilan en sus diseños, como lo es la arriesgada mezcla de los colores brillantes y el romanticismo del encaje (que por supuesto no podía faltar en esta colección). Esta idea de mezclar diferentes texturas me fascina, es bastante arriesgado pero luce de maravilla, y más cuando estas bronceadita. Lo mejor de toda esta fusión es cuando está representada en la versión de traje de baño entero, que aunque han perdido un poco la fama por los bikinis, poco a poco están volviendo, así que ¡20 puntos para Manoa! les augurio un éxito increíble con esta colección, ya que a la mujer venezolana le encanta ser atrevida y única

On the go!

Versatility, an adjective is not lacking in any garment of my closet, and should not be missing in yours. The dress and shoes today are no exception, and I explain what I did with them. First, these comfortable heels that to be cut out type are very popular, not only helped me to combine them with the dress and add a bit more edgy, but also used them (during the morning of the same day) with a completely different combination and looking a little more elegant. In turn, I wore this outfit to go to a small event on Friends, but then I changed my shoes by low ones, untied the little knots of the dress (which I love because you can adjust the belts in thousand ways), and Ready! A relaxed look for have dinner with the boy. How much more versatile can be ordered to these items? Precisely that's why the post is called "On the go!", because I got all of this by changing an occasional piece or knot either *wink*

Versatilidad, un adjetivo que no falta en ninguna prenda de mi closet, y que no debería faltar en el tuyo. El vestido y los zapatos de hoy no son la excepción, y se los explico con lo que hice con ellos. En primer lugar, estos cómodos tacones que por ser tipo cut out están muy de moda, no sólo me sirvieron para combinarlos con el vestido y agregarle un toque mas edgy, sino que además los usé (durante la mañana del mismo día del look que están viendo) con una combinación completamente distinta y luciendo un poco más elegantes. Por su parte, este conjunto lo usé para ir a un pequeño evento en Friends, pero luego me cambié los zapatos por unos bajos, desaté los nuditos del vestido (que me encanta porque puedes ajustar las cintas de miles de maneras) y ¡Listo! un look relajado para ir a cenar tranquilamente con el chico ¿Qué más versatilidad le puedo pedir a estas prendas? Justamente por eso el post se llama "sobre la marcha", porque todo esto lo conseguí con cambiar una que otra prenda o uno que otro nudo *wink*

HOW TO: wear Birkenstock

I must admit, at first the idea of ​​wearing these atypical sandals dislike a little, then it can happen to you like me, that brings back memories of traditional shoes your grandparents and their friends, and then finish for signing up with them. It's the same as with all fashions, you see both on the street that ends up liking the trend or get used to it (albeit with a pair of sandals included). If you ask me, I'll stick with the gladiator sandals type knee length, but as we are not talking about my personal opinion, let's start with this post dedicated to inspire those who dare with these sandals and also those are undecided.

Debo admitirlo, al principio la idea de llevar estas sandalias atípicas te desagrada un poco, luego capaz te pase como a mí, que te trae recuerdos del típico calzado de tus abuelos y sus amigos, y después terminas por apuntarte con ellas. Pasa lo mismo como con todas las modas, lo ves tanto en la calle que te termina de gustar la tendencia o te acostumbras a ella (eso sí, con par de sandalias incluidas). Si me preguntan a mí, yo me quedo con las sandalias tipo gladiador por la rodilla, pero como no estamos hablando de mi opinión personal, vamos a empezar con este post dedicado a inspirar a aquellas que se atreven con estas sandalias y también a las que están indecisas.

As an example you can see the orange sandals of first image, the stamped sandals or with sconces of the second image and ethnic print of the third image.

    2. Less is more. The big hook with these sandals (and the excuse of its use) is the comfort they provide, so the key with them are minimalist looks integrated with simple clothes, simple and asymmetrical cuts, more neutral colors and a few prints (although it is allowed in certain cases).

     3. White is your best friend. As a fan of total white, I can affirm you that white is the perfect partner when you want a slightly more casual look, cool and neat without much problem. In addition, the white on your sandals accomplish you feel more comfortable with them about the effects that this color has.

    4. Keep your balance. As with the maxi garments, the best you can do is maintain a balance between the pieces you use. Say the maxi of the business are sandals, so the rest of the set must be balanced so as not to increase the visual volume on your set.

Los conjuntos los dividí por prendas: primero por vestidos, luego pantalones y una tercera imagen con faldas, shorts y un pequeño jumpsuit. Incluí prendas que al igual que las sandalias, se están llevando y armando los looks entre un poco más formales e informales, sin remarcar mucho en estilos. Para usar las ugly sandals puedes seguir los siguientes tips: 

     1. Esto lo quise poner de primer lugar para quienes aún no se atreven del todo con la tendencia: que tu primer par sean sandalias con la estructura clásica de una ugly sandal pero en materiales y colores que te hagan sentir cómoda con el calzado. A lo que me refiero con esto es que disfraces un poco la sandalia para que si no te atreves a ellas, las uses como modelo pero sin sentirte incomoda con lo extraño que te puede parecer el calzado. En cada set incluí sandalias que mantienen la estructura y el modelo de las Birkenstock pero sus materiales y colores no son tan convencionales. Como ejemplo puedes ver las sandalias naranjas de la primera imagen, las sandalias estampadas o con apliques de la segunda imagen y las de estampado étnico de la tercera imagen. 

       2. Menos es más. El gran gancho que tienen estas sandalias (y la excusa con que las usan) es la suma de comodidad que aportan, por eso los looks claves con ellas son minimalistas, integrados con prendas sencillas, de cortes simples y asimétricos, más colores neutros y pocos estampados (tampoco es que no están permitidos).

      3. El blanco es tu mejor amigo. Como fanática de los total white, puedo afirmarles que el color blanco es el aliado perfecto cuando quieres un look un poco más casual, fresco y pulcro sin enrollarte mucho. Además el blanco en tus sandalias logrará que te sientas más cómoda con ellas por los efectos que este color tiene. 

       4. Mantén el equilibrio. Al igual que con las prendas maxi, lo mejor que puedes hacer es mantener un equilibrio entre las piezas que usas. Digamos que lo maxi del asunto son las sandalias, por ello el resto del conjunto debe ser equilibrado para no aumentar el volumen visual de tu conjunto.

Long live the mini skirt

It has become my habit to recover beach clothes and bring them into my daily looks; the mini skirt that accompanies me on all my trips is no exception. Like sea, the miniskirt should be respected, we always have to adjust this garment to the body and age, to avoid embarrassment. Despite these little details, one could say that the mini skirt enters the list of basic, but not so basic. The best option that you can take is denim, this time the heat is hitting harder than normal, so it can get us out from many troubles. I love to create outfits with this old skirt, this set with denim jacket, loafers and a lingerie blouse that has been very popular, has been my favorite set with skirt. An outfit that goes straight to the urban summer style list.

Se me ha vuelto costumbre recuperar la ropa con aires de playa y ajustarlas a mis looks diarios; la mini falda que me acompaña en todos mis viajes playeros, no es la excepción. Al igual que al mar, a la mini falda hay que tenerle respeto, siempre tenemos que ajustar esta prenda a nuestro cuerpo y edad, para no pasar penas. A pesar de estos detallitos, se podría decir que la mini falda entra a la lista de los básicos, pero ni tan básica. La mejor opción con la que te puedes hacer es con una mini de jean, en esta época en que el calor está pegando más duro de lo normal, ni les cuento de los apuros que nos saca esta prenda. Me encanta armar looks relajados con esta falda vieja, este conjunto con chaqueta de jean, loafers y una blusa tipo lencería que ha estado muy de moda, ha sido mi conjunto favorito con la falda. Un look directo a la lista de urban summer style.
