A rainy summer

¿Qué tal su fin D? Espero que las lluvias no les hayan arruinado sus planes. A mí el tiempo nublado me inspiró a crear este look, aunque les parezca raro y fuera de lugar. Esta falda ya la había estrenado en un cumpleaños, en un conjunto muy parecido, con otra camisa blanca y las sandalias del mismo color y aunque ya se me ha pasado un tanto la manía de usar tacones, shorts y faldas; pensé "si no aprovecho vacaciones para usar todo esto ¿cuándo lo voy hacer?" Así que me animé a mostrarles este conjunto, a parte que esos botines nuevos gritaban calle. 

No sé si se han fijado que en esta temporada (al menos el domingo) llovió a cántaros, pero el calor era igual o peor. Por eso digo que me inspiré en el tiempo para crear este look. Ya les había comentado un poco sobre imprescindibles para la lluvia, y que por ser looks lluviosos no quiere decir que sean aburridos. Este conjunto tiene lo necesario para la lluvia y para el calor. 2x1. Como nos toca ser enemigos de la humedad, un cardigan es perfecto para combatir el calor y a la vez esa brisa de lluvia. Para mí son super importantes los zapatos cerrados, sea del estilo que sea, lo importante es que no te arriesgues a mojarte los pies, eso es a lo mejor una de las cosas más incomodas de la lluvia. Y para tratar el calor en plena lluvia, la falda. Es preferible usar shorts por cuestiones de comodidad, pero todo va a depender del modelo y la tela de la falda. Lo importante es estar acorde con lo que puede pasar y no ser tan aburrida con los conjuntos. Esta idea la pueden llevar a donde quieran y siempre pueden jugar con las prendas para hacer conjuntos más casuales o formales. 

How was your weekend? Hope the rain didn't ruin your plans. This cloudy weather inspired me to create this look, though it seems weird and out of place. I have already used this skirt in a birthday party, with a very similar outfit, another white shirt and sandals with same color, though I’m trying to get along with using heels, shorts and skirts; I thought “If I doesn’t use vacations to wear all this, when I’ll do?” So I decided to show this set, besides these new boots shouted "street".

I don’t know if you have noticed that this season (at least Sunday) rained a lot, but heat was like always or worse. That’s why I say that this look was inspired in weather. I had already told you something about essentials for rain, though for being rainy outfits doesn’t mean they’re boring. This outfit has what it takes for rain and the heat. 2x1 as we have to be enemies of humidity, a cardigan is perfect to beat the heat and the breeze of rain at the same time.  For me, closed shoes are very important, whatever style it is, the important thing is that should not risk getting your feet wet, that's maybe one of the most uncomfortable thing of the rain. So to deal with the heat in the rain, the skirt. It is preferable to wear shorts as a convenience, but everything will depend on the model and the fabric of the skirt. The important thing is to be consistent with what can happen and not be so bored with the outfits. This idea can be carried wherever you want and always you can play with clothes for casual or formal ensembles.

Summer Chic!

Today I write you later than normal (sorry), but I'm starting to enjoy my vacation and time escapes me somewhat, although formally I finish on Tuesday, yeih! Already craving to dress girly and wear heels everywhere apparently is ending for me, but hopefully never disappears. But I keep wanting to feel a little more tidy. So today's post is called "summer chic" (Yes, I know, in Venezuela it's not like we have a "summer"), because I wanted to dress lightly but very "trendy" in this bipolar Caracas, where today went from having a gray clouds to a spectacular sunset.

This chic look is great for those who love to be cool and comfortable without losing the glamor. To start building your summery-chic outfit, it is best to draw on a piece and begin to achieve the look from it, can be a skirt, overall or even pants. Here the best will be to find clothes that highlight the base part, because it looks like we're fresh and light, however if we combine the pieces (e.g. blue pants with a print on the shirt) will give the feeling of formality; we want to play with fluency. In conjunction with this, we are going to prefer unicolor clothes that may well be of bright colors, but always keeping in harmony. And as the fashionista cliché : accessories are your best friends to give the chic touch, but try to use the necessary. For me, what shoes you use is not very important but good sandals (with heels or without) always play to your favor. And finally, enjoy!

Hoy les escribo más tarde de lo normal (disculpen), pero es que ya estoy empezando a disfrutar de mis vacaciones y el tiempo se me escapa un tanto, aunque es el martes cuando termino formalmente ¡yeih! Ya el antojo por vestir girly y llevar tacones a todas partes al parecer se me está pasando, aunque esperemos que jamás desaparezca. Pero no dejo de querer sentirme un poco más arreglada. Por ello el post de hoy se llama "summer chic"(Sí, yo sé, en Venezuela tampoco es que contamos con un "verano"), porque quería vestirme ligera pero muy "trendy" en esta Caracas bipolar, donde hoy pasó de pintar unas nubes grises a un sol espectacular.

Este look chic es fenomenal para quienes aman estar frescas y cómodas sin perder el glamour. Para empezar a armar tu conjunto veraniego chic, lo mejor es inspirarnos en una prenda y empezar a lograr el look desde ella, puede ser una falda, una braga o incluso un pantalón. Aquí lo mejor va a ser buscar prendas que hagan resaltar la pieza base, porque así parece que vamos frescas y ligeras, en cambio si combinamos las piezas (por ejemplo el azul del pantalón con un estampado en la camisa) va a dar la sensación de formalidad; aquí queremos jugar con la fluidez. En conjunto con lo anterior, precisamente vamos a preferir prendas unicolores que muy bien pueden ser colores brillantes, pero siempre manteniéndolos en armonía. Y como es el cliché fashionista: los accesorios son tus mejores amigos para darle el toque chic, pero trata de usar los necesarios. Para mí, cuáles zapatos uses no tiene mucha importancia pero unas buenas sandalias (con tacón o sin) siempre jugaran a tu favor. Y por último ¡diviértete!

The mint shirt

Una cosa que más debe gustar de Venezuela debe ser el clima. Aquí las “estaciones” están casi equilibradas como el bien y el mal (puedes tener mucha suerte por un gran tiempo, pero siempre vendrá un momento difícil que te dejara muchas enseñanzas). Nunca hay un largo periodo de calor, ni un largo periodo de lluvia, pero eso sí, cuando toca lluvia, es lluvia y lo mismo pasa con el calor. Esto indudablemente hace que sea perfecto usar ropa que en otras ciudades llamarían de “verano” durante todo el año. Por eso a mi parecer, no hay mejor que las latinas para llevar los mejores conjuntos “veraniegos”.

El look de hoy va condicionado a ese regalo que nos han dado, a veces un poco bipolar. Un conjunto muy casual para disfrutar del calor. Yo no sé qué me gusta más de la blusa, si el color, el corte, los detalles de la tela o la abertura de la espalda, pero inconfundiblemente es una camisa que cualquier latina debe tener.  Sólo ustedes saben qué tanto adoro este collar, me encanta el contraste entre él y los detalles y color de la camisa. Las sandalias y un versátil blue jean no podían faltar para pasear por una Caracas calurosa ¿Qué les parece el look? ¿Optarían por una camisa así?
