In a rush

DSC_0054

Simple chic

It is time to tell you the history behind every outfit from the Christmas Lookbook video, and I want to start with this one that it's my favorite. If we talk about basics and my mandatories in the closet, I can't leave two thing without mention: white pants and; since I found them, shirts with stripes. If the shirt is as the one I show here, it is not necessary to say how good it looks and the good contrast it gives combining the shirt with the white pant, because not only achieve a refined look and chic, it is also an outfit that with the garments, it is not necessary to exaggerate with accessories and makes a minimal look, in fact, the color of the shoes, how elegant but relaxed that they are, give the perfect final touch.

In my pants

DSC_0280

Continuing with dates crowded of celebrations, I dressed with pastels for a toast, which was at daytime. In such a toast, there were many cocktail dresses, were not entirely misplaced, but back with the story that I commented on this post; to have a presence on one occasion, at an event, a toast, you do not have to dress like you are expected to do, it is not necessary the usual outfit to look good and feel good. Pants are not opposite of femininity, I've seen thousands of women fleeing for thinking that or believe that will not look attractive, otherwise a good pants suitable to the occasion is not only chic, elegant and even comfortable (remember to look good there is no reason to get rid of this adjective) also it makes you look so sexy in your garment associated with men's outfits, depending on the model and how you combine, it can be very daring and seductive; I like the idea of using sets recreating men's outfits but with very feminine clothes.

Twofold mood

DSC_0099

Un Blog Bastardo just recently chatted a bit with me and asked me a few questions about the blog, among these, the typical "How do you define your style?". Personally I think anyone shakes with these questions, because it is the moment when you question who you really are. I've always said that I am who I am and who I wanna be and don't care label me in a way, because it would limit myself. Despite this, we all realize what are our tastes and inclinations, so lately I have detailed that I'm in a twofold mood: the simple and minimalist side and the most romantic and bohemian. Just today I got to be a little boho chic, and wear this new hat I cannot find how to quit. I think occasionally need to ask ourselves what we want to convey with our image and what we are doing with it, so I have taken on the task of deepening these two styles that are part of my personality. I think this will be the beginning of a series of entries relating to meet and develop our style. Do you dare to undertake this task too?

Eye for basics

This is one of those looks in which you add each piece because it seems that complement each other, that were born to be worn together. First you wear the dress and you remember a fabulous cardigan with which it would be great. It has not happened to you? It is also one of those even you're adding and adding, something missing to be perfect, luckily someone reads our minds and gives us just what we need to complete the set... Yes, I know it happens once a year but happens! Only need to repeat more. That exactly happened with this look, I needed something that would complement that neither I knew what it could be and ... Finally! the necklace was the perfect gift. This look I dressed to go out with the boy wearing my sneakers, then I switched to sandals and used it at a family reunion, pure versatility.

Dress comfortable does not mean leaving aside the glamor and less in a world full of versatile pieces. The pajama type pants (do not let yourself bother by name) are ideal to keep the style without losing comfort. The easiest way to use it is with other clothes to climb the elegant tone, neutral colours to match with everything and not seem neglected. Fabric is very important because it will depend very much what casual or formal you can wear the pants, it's best to avoid 100% cotton. These pants will look well in any body type, depending on the fabric can adjust to your figure, but it is best to make it a little loose so you don't feel bad figure and is light and fresh. This time I used this leather-look jacket with small grids, I think its formality gives elegant touch to pajama pant ideally. See how easy it is to look comfortable and chic!?

Palazzo pants & transparent clutch

I couldn't resist to show you what I used at the Aishop's Brunch (At least with detail). To meet 'El Ritual' for the first time, I picked up a pants that easily could be called "little black pants", because they are as practical as the usual little black dress. Though how extravagant that these kind of pants could be, it is a good choice to get out of trouble, to any occasion casual as well formal; the problem: you going to need high heels almost everytime to not ruin the edge. The look of the day didn't have pants as special thing, the clutch, my new obsession, was more relevant than the pants itself this time and gave it an extra trendy touch. The transparent clutchs are accesories that are cobrando vida at the street style, slowly, but if we neglect, tomorrow there will be everywhere. This is a topic for another post, by now the question is, do you dare to use transparent clutchs?

Fashion Film: El Ritual by Aishop

From Aishop

What I like about today's post and the event organized by Aishop, is that match up with the post series I've been making: Fashion Films. Let me explain you, Aishop put together Fashion Bloggers from Caracas at the same place to release their new Fashion Film, one of my favorites of this venezuelan brand. At the brunch we not only enjoyed the film but also we meet the new collection and that's why I show you some clothes that you could find out in this new collection and also my favorites. On the other hand, Luisa (one of the four bloggers/protagonists of the film) told me that for a fashion film be considered like that, must have history and not only samples of styling, so this film is not only full of good outfits, but also it have a great history that makes me remember one of my favorite movies, The Craft. Thanks to Laura Castro for being so helpful and to Sofia Agostini for share some details of the film with us. Needless to say I leave some photos of the event, my favorite pieces and of course, 'El Ritual'.

Summer Chic!

*for a quick traslation just click on "found your language" bar*

Today I write you later than normal (sorry), but I'm starting to enjoy my vacation and time escapes me somewhat, although formally I finish on Tuesday, yeih! Already craving to dress girly and wear heels everywhere apparently is ending for me, but hopefully never disappears. But I keep wanting to feel a little more tidy. So today's post is called "summer chic" (Yes, I know, in Venezuela it's not like we have a "summer"), because I wanted to dress lightly but very "trendy" in this bipolar Caracas, where today went from having a gray clouds to a spectacular sunset.

This chic look is great for those who love to be cool and comfortable without losing the glamor. To start building your summery-chic outfit, it is best to draw on a piece and begin to achieve the look from it, can be a skirt, overall or even pants. Here the best will be to find clothes that highlight the base part, because it looks like we're fresh and light, however if we combine the pieces (e.g. blue pants with a print on the shirt) will give the feeling of formality; we want to play with fluency. In conjunction with this, we are going to prefer unicolor clothes that may well be of bright colors, but always keeping in harmony. And as the fashionista cliché : accessories are your best friends to give the chic touch, but try to use the necessary. For me, what shoes you use is not very important but good sandals (with heels or without) always play to your favor. And finally, enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed the weekend
