White as winter

After using a slightly understated look for Christmas, for new year I decided on the opposite of this, and not just stop being so elegant like wearing black: I chose to use white. A representation and the only way to feel the majestic white hues of winter. From now one of my favorite looks of 2015. I wanted to start the year in a good way, on some shoes and daring (as one of my resolutions) with a burgundy lipstick and out of my comfort zone; so I think I managed the success of this set: forever my favorite white on white + the unexpected, a powerful lipstick.

Después de haber usado un look un poco sobrio para la Navidad, para año nuevo me decidí por el antónimo de éste, y que no precisamente deja de ser tan elegante como llevar negro: escogí usar blanco. Una representación y la única forma en sentir las majestuosas tonalidades blancas del invierno. Desde ya uno de mis looks favoritos del 2015. Quise empezar el año con buen pie, montada en unos zapatos y atreviéndome (como una de mis resoluciones) con un labial vino y saliendo de mi zona de confort; así creo que logré el éxito de este conjunto: por siempre mi favorito white on white + lo inesperado, un labial potente.

Easy breezy

If you think the most elaborate sets are those with victory assured, this blog is not for you, go back to the pages of (the Bible) Vogue. It is proved that the most stylish are those whose outfits flow naturally, as if it were one more quality of her personality, although the mix and match of Olivia Palermo do seem otherwise. Even that looks supernatural for her! Yes, no one said that getting naturally look fabulous is a quality with which we are born or developed by the years, it's still difficult to me, I need tips occasionally. Sometimes we forget to use common sense in fashion or when dressing, which we should always do, because fashion is that, using our own sense and not take it seriously; at the end of the day this is the best way to turn our look in one more element to convey who we are, what we want and how we want to know us.

Si piensas que los conjuntos más elaborados son los que tienen el triunfo asegurado, este blog no es para ti, devuélvete a las paginas de (la biblia) Vogue. Está comprobado que las más estilosas son aquellas que sus conjuntos fluyen de manera natural, como si se tratara de una cualidad más de su personalidad, aunque los mix and match de Olivia Palermo hagan parecer lo contrario. ¡hasta eso para ella se le ve super natural! Sí, nadie a dicho que conseguir verte fabulosa naturalmente sea una cualidad con la que nacemos todas o que logramos desarrollar con los añitos, a mí aún me cuesta, necesito tips de vez en cuando. A veces se nos olvida aplicar el sentido común en la moda o a la hora de vestirnos, cuestión que siempre deberíamos hacer, debido a que la moda es eso, usar nuestro propio sentido y no tomarla muy en serio; al final del día ésta es la mejor manera de convertir nuestro look en un elemento más con el cual transmitir quienes somos, qué queremos y cómo queremos que nos conozcan.

Muse in white

Happy Mothers Day! I couldn't start this Sunday post without wishing a happy day to those brave women who always give their best, not for them but for us, their children. But the look of today is not exactly the one I used in this celebration (the best set for this day were the pajamas ♥) but I continued with outfits that had kept those trips to cold sites that let the heat of Caracas well away; although slowly starting the rainy season in Venezuela, so that might be taking some ideas. This time I stuck to my beloved total white nearly with a muse's accessory: the golden headband.

¡Feliz día de las madres! no podía empezar este post dominguero sin desearle feliz día a todas esas mujeres valientes que siempre dan su mejor esfuerzo, no por ellas sino por nosotros, sus hijos. Pero el look de hoy no es precisamente el que usé en esta celebración (el mejor conjunto para este día fueron las pijamas ♥) sino que yo continuo con outfits que tenía guardados de aquellos paseos a sitios fríos que dejan el calor de Caracas bien lejos; aunque poco a poco va comenzando la época de lluvia en Venezuela, por lo que podrían ir tomando ciertas ideas. Esta vez me apegué a mi adorado total white con un detallazo casi de musa: la bandana dorada.
