Celebration days

Yes, we have much to celebrate: the comeback on the blog, the reason I left the blog for a while had its results... I graduated from college! And they're coming a few surprises for you.

There is nothing more appropriate than return to the blog celebrating with this look, as I wore it for an intimate meeting with my prom partners and our godfathers. It's a pretty simple look, no less complicated than a palazzo and blouse, but not something less appropriate, elegant and chic than this combination. When we say "party", "celebration", "meeting" the first thing we think is a dress and pumps because we believe that we will be feminine and sexy; but the truth is that to look bold we not necessarily must wear a cocktail dress type, remember that sometimes it's what is left to the imagination and can often get to remember the dress than the woman in it.

Sí, tenemos mucho que celebrar: la vuelta del blog, que la razón por la que abandoné al blog y a ustedes tuvo sus frutos ¡me gradué! y que se vienen algunas sorpresas para ustedes.

Nada más oportuno para regresar al blog celebrando que con este look, ya que lo usé para una reunión intima entre mis compañeros de promoción y nuestro padrinos de grado. Es un look bastante sencillo, nada menos complicado que unos palazzo y una blusa, pero tampoco algo menos apropiado, elegante y chic que esta combinación.  Cuando nos dicen "fiesta", "celebración", "reunión" lo primero que pensamos es un vestido y unos pumps porque consideramos que nos veremos femeninas y sexy; pero la verdad es que para vernos atrevidas no necesariamente debemos llevar un vestido tipo cóctel, hay que recordar que a veces vale más lo que se deja a la imaginación y que muchas veces pueden llegar a recordar más el vestido que a la mujer en él.

Twofold mood

Un Blog Bastardo just recently chatted a bit with me and asked me a few questions about the blog, among these, the typical "How do you define your style?". Personally I think anyone shakes with these questions, because it is the moment when you question who you really are. I've always said that I am who I am and who I wanna be and don't care label me in a way, because it would limit myself. Despite this, we all realize what are our tastes and inclinations, so lately I have detailed that I'm in a twofold mood: the simple and minimalist side and the most romantic and bohemian. Just today I got to be a little boho chic, and wear this new hat I cannot find how to quit. I think occasionally need to ask ourselves what we want to convey with our image and what we are doing with it, so I have taken on the task of deepening these two styles that are part of my personality. I think this will be the beginning of a series of entries relating to meet and develop our style. Do you dare to undertake this task too?

Hace poquito Un Blog Bastardo intimó un poco conmigo y me hizo una que otra pregunta relacionada con el blog, entre esas la típica "¿Cómo defines tu estilo?". Personalmente creo que cualquiera tiembla con este tipo de preguntas, porque es el momento en que te cuestionas quién eres realmente. Yo siempre he dicho que yo soy quien soy y quien quiero ser, no me interesa catalogarme en un estilo, porque sería limitarme. A pesar de esto, todos nos damos cuenta de cuáles son nuestros gustos e inclinaciones, por lo que últimamente he detallado que ando en un mood con dos vertientes: el lado más simple y minimalista al más romántico y bohemio. Hoy justo me dio por ser un tanto boho chic, y estrenar este sombrero que no hallo cómo dejar de usarlo. Creo que de vez en cuando es necesario preguntarnos qué queremos transmitir con nuestra imagen y qué estamos haciendo con ella, por lo que me he dado a la tarea de profundizar estos dos estilos que son parte de mi personalidad. Creo que éste será el inicio de una serie de entradas relacionadas con conocernos y desarrollar nuestro estilo ¿se animan a emprender ésta tarea también?

All maxi

This day caused me to wear all maxi, baggy shirt, boyfriend jeans, maxi handbag and heels! If there's one thing I do think you have to be careful is with the measures or proportions, there is no worse mistake to use a size that is not or use something wide to hide your body (being thick or thin body). Luckily for stubborn like me who insist on using something that is not at all in keeping with your body type there are certain tricks. To counter all the volume added by the maxi set, the best tool was to wear heels: first, it gives femininity to the masculine that trousers can be and second, stylize my figure a bit, so that other garments that make the set doesn't make us look "maxi". It also helps jean uniform color, having no details doesn't add volume. It is so hard to dress according to our body type, one must know how to combine our clothes.

Este día me provoco llevar todo maxi, camisa ancha, boyfriends jeans, maxi cartera y ¡taconazos! Sí hay algo en lo que si creo que hay que tener cuidado, es con las medidas o proporciones, no hay peor error que usar una talla que no es o usar algo ancho para ocultar tu cuerpo (así seas delgada o de contextura gruesa). Por suerte, para las tercas como yo, que se empeñan en usar algo que no va para nada acorde con su tipo de cuerpo hay ciertos trucos. Para contrarrestar todo el volumen que me agrega lo maxi de este conjunto, la mejor herramienta fue usar tacones: primero, le aportan feminidad a lo masculino que pueden ser los pantalones y segundo, estilizan un poco mi figura, de manera que las demás prendas que conforman el conjunto no nos hagan lucir incluso "maxi" a nosotras. También ayuda el color uniforme del jean, al no tener detalles no suma volumen. No es tan difícil vestir acorde a nuestro tipo de cuerpo, solo hay que saber cómo combinar nuestras prendas.

Nunca les he preguntado qué opinan ustedes de los jeans ¿les gustan o prefieren no usarlos? Los jeans como todos saben, son una pieza increíblemente versátil y básica. Probablemente son muy aburridos y repetidos, pero sí que saben cómo sacar de apuros o ¿no?. Yo use este conjunto para compartir con el chico en el cumpleaños de su hermana, fuimos a cenar. Como era una salida muy casual y estaba loca por llevar tacones use unos jeans, ya que le dan el toque casual al conjunto. Aunque por supuesto (creo que están cansadas de leer esto) pero todo dependen de como los combines, puede que te encuentres en una reunión formal con jeans y estés mas elegante que todas las mujeres en vestido.
